Andy Carroll back to destructive good as he sends Hammers into the top 4

Andy Carroll Andy Carroll of West Ham celebrates scoring their second goal during the Barclays Premier League match between West Ham United and Swansea City at Boleyn Ground on December 7, 2014 in London, England.

Alex Song is like West Ham’s good luck charm, but today it was all about the big man.

Visiting Swansea was dealt a blow at Upton Park when West Ham put them to the sword. Bony opened the scoreline in the 19′ but it was canceled out when Carroll leveled in the 41′. In the 66′ Carroll claimed his brace when he rose to head in a Stewart Downing corner. Swansea went down to 10 men after Fabianski was sent off for impeding Sakho. With three minutes of normal time remaining on the clock, Carroll set Sakho up with the 3rd goal of the night for the Hammers. He could have had a hat trick, but he was denied by Tremmel in the last minute.

3-1 at final whistle and there is no denying whom the Man of the Match was. With this victory, West Ham leap frogged into 3rd place. Who saw this coming? I honestly did not.

It’s moments like these I live for! Well done, West Ham and Andy Carroll! Your hard work is certainly showing.
