First, let’s hear it for the boys!

Following their 2-0 home win on Wednesday night, PSG are through to the semi-finals of the French Cup

No Ibra. No problem. And I wish silly people will stop saying ‘No Ibra, no party’ because there had been countless matches without Ibra and there were parties afterwards. Cavani, Pastore and even Rabiot had stepped up in the absence or presence of the big intimidating Swede.

Last evening, PSG progressed to the French Cup semis with goals coming from the awesome hair duo, Davani. They beat Monaco 2-0. Luiz gave the Parisians the lead in the 3rd minute and Cavani scored his 18th goal of the season after 52 minutes.

If you’re wondering about Zlatan, he was suspended for both games against Monaco, but PSG got the job done. In other Cavani news, Diego Simeon reportedly got in touch with Cavani and is trying to persuade El Matador to come to Atletico Madrid. Is this move likely? Is it good? Will Blanc let Cavani go? Stay tuned.

The co-founder of Instagram, Kevin Systorm was also in attendance to witness the victory and he took a photo with David Luiz:

Laurent Blanc is super pleased with the team at the moment, and this team remains on course to complete a treble this season. After the game, the coach told reporters:

“We managed to take two of our chances, which we failed to do last Sunday in Monaco. We played well in both games, even if I think we were even better tonight. We are playing good football, entertaining football, we are causing our opponents problems. I am very happy with my players, all of the players, because of we are still competing in every competition, it means the whole squad is performing. Bravo to the players.”

The only problem Blanc has at the moment is Cavani not scoring enough league goals. El Matador is currently undergoing his longest spell in the Ligue 1 without scoring a goal for 412 minutes (via ). PSG faces Lens next. I’ll be rooting for my boy. Allez Cavani! Let’s shut ’em up.

Congrats PSG!

My heart simply beats football.
