Cavani’s brace not enough as Trapp’s costly errors see PSG held

On Friday evening, Paris Saint-Germain was held 2-2 by 10-man Bordeaux following two errors from Kevin Trapp.

Cavani opened in the 27th minute after a howler from Cedric Carrasso. He fumbled with the ball allowing El Matador to quickly pounce on it and register the opener. That goal was marvelous! Henri Saivet then equalized with a header for Bordeaux, something Trapp could have dealt with better. Before half time, Cavani restored PSG’s lead with a well-struck free kick. Saviet saw his second yellow card of the game and was sent off leaving Bordeaux with 10 men. Trapp somewhat hesitated on a backpass from Thiago Silva which allowed Wahbi Khazri to pounce and level the game at 2-2.

Although Trapp made a few errors, PSG had many chances to score at least 5 goals, but it wasn’t to be.

Di Maria was given his first start in the ligue and almost had a goal, but he was energetic and full of promises. Overall, I think it was a good game.
