Son delivers as Spurs claim victory

Heung-Min Son showcased a superb display last evening when Tottenham faced Qarabag in their Europa League group opener.

Qarabag scored the opening goal in the 7th minute after Kieran Trippier brought down Afran Ismayilov resulting in a penalty. Richard had Lloris beat as he converted confidently from the spot. Qarabag continued to dominate the game, but Spurs fought back hard.

In the 28th minute, Andros Townsend swung in a corner and an unmarked Son tied things up at 1-1. Two minutes later, Son was at it again. He played a through ball to Dele Alli who laid the ball back for Son to smash home his second. A brace for the South Korean on his debut for his new club and he couldn’t have written the script any better. Son is a prospect I am utterly exciting about. I can’t wait to see him light up the PL.

The third goal came in the 86th minute when Kane supplied the assist for Lamela who wrap the game up wonderfully.
