France loves making history when it comes to electing ‘the first woman’. Corinne Diacre was named the first female coach in France last year when she took charge of Ligue 2 team, Clermont Foot. Now, we have another first lady.
Nathalie Boy de la Tour was elected president of the French Professional League (LFP) today after former national team coach Raymond Domenech’s candidacy was rejected by the general assembly. She becomes the first woman to take over from caretaker Jean-Pierre Denis.
Congrats are in order.
