Man of the week: Olivier Giroud!

Arsenal v Crystal Palace - Premier League

On Sunday, Olivier Giroud scored a stinging scorpion kick against Crystal Palace earning him an early contender for goal of the season.

And it was wickedly delicious!

Last evening, the Frenchman help Arsenal come back from 3-1 against Bournemouth by being involved in all 3 goals (2 assists), the equalizer he ended up scoring (3-3). Continue to do you, boy!

Hugo Lloris pulls off STUNNING save to keep Tottenham hopes alive

In The Safety Of Hugo Lloris' Gloves

He humbly plays it down, but Hugo Lloris was the hero last evening at BayArena during the scoreless Champions League match.

Lloris made a string of excellent stops last evening to deny Javier Hernandez and Bayer Leverkusen any form of victory. The Man of the Match goalie played a pivotal role in making sure that Leverkusen didn’t concede, but his finest moment was when he denied Hernandez from close range. The Frenchman spared no thought as he sprung across goal and with incredible cat reflexes, he managed to grab the ball and cling onto it to ensure that it did not cross the line.

He was rightfully named Man of the Match, but he refused to take credit for his heroic efforts.

‘That’s a technology decision. Listen, you need a bit of luck in that kind of action. This time I could save this goal. It’s important. It’s a…

Masterclass performance from Spurs as they beat City 2-0

Tottenham just put in a masterclass performance against Manchester City running away with a 2-0 victory at the White Hart Lane. Despite Kolarov scoring an own goal to put Spurs ahead in the 9th minute, it was all Spurs. City did improve in the 2nd half, but Spurs wouldn’t let them pass. Lloris was a tough wall to break while Bravo sometimes fumbled on the other end.

Dele Alli scored the winner in the 37th minute and Erik Lamela had his penalty save by Bravo in the 65th minute. It was a well-deserved performance from the boys in white at the lane and I am delighted for them.

City bits: Nasri completes Sevilla loan, Mangala jets off to Valencia and Hart heads to Torino

Pep Guardiola is cleaning house and he isn’t afraid to do so.

Samir Nasri has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan. I think this is a good benefit for the Spanish side.

Samir Nasri puts pen to paper on a season-long loan deal alongside Sevilla chief Monchi

Valencia has confirmed a season-loan deal with Eliaquim Mangala.

Meanwhile, Torino has completed a season-long loan deal to Serie A side, Torino. This should be a lesson to the Englishman to try and prove himself worthy once again. Hart has made 346 appearances for City over 10 seasons.

All the best boys!

Hugo Lloris suffers hamstring blow

In The Safety Of Hugo Lloris' Gloves

Hugo Lloris was forced off with a hamstring injury earlier today in Tottenham’s 2016/17 season premiere against Everton. Lloris was subbed off late in the first half with Michel Vorm replacing him. The Frenchman had conceded his first goal of the season as Everton went ahead in the 6th minute. The game eventually finished 1-1.

Wishing Lloris a speedy recovery and all the best to Spurs this season.
