World’s Sexiest Footballer reveals his style icons

Olivier Giroud joined his Arsenal mates Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez for a stylish photo shoot for GQ Style.

Styled by Lanvin, Giroud shared what he thought about fans imitating his hair style:

“Yes, they try to do the quiff. Especially in France, I see a lot of them. It is funny because they try to imitate me – but it is always a pleasure.”

And his style influences:

“David Beckham is a top man. I love the guy and what he can show in terms of style as well. He’s really classy, an icon When I was young, I looked up to Andy Shevchenko. He was so elegant, and on the pitch as well.”

GQ Style Spring/Summer 2015 goes on sale on March 19th.

Arsenal and Man City plays to an exciting draw

I’ve had a hectic week and although I went to bed early last evening, I woke up a little late this morning and joined this match in the 21st minute in time to see Lampard booked.

Here’s some key points for me:

27′ AGUERO! After some woeful defending after Arsenal, Kun makes no mistake in finding the back of the net. 0-1
30′ City is just pressuring Arsenal
37′ Arsenal FK. Alexis over.
38′ Ozil with a desperate shot.
41′ FK Arsenal. In by Alexis, cleared by Lampard – this was his debut for City – comes out to Ozil, he’s off target. Still 0-1. Let me just touch on Ozil here a little. He is lacking that confidence he had when he first put on an Arsenal jersey. Bet he’s missing Spain, eh? Someone should tell him the holidays are over though because his dispassion was kinda showing in this match and it did not look pretty.
44′ Milner fouls Debuchy. Gives away another FK. The boos ring around the stadium. The FK comes to nothing in the end.
HT: 0-1 Good first half from Debuchy

Sergio Aguero of Manchester City shrugs off a challenge from Per Mertesacker of Arsenal during the Barclays Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester City at Emirates Stadium on September 13, 2014 in London, England.

Nasri replaces the debutante, Lampard for this 2nd half.

48′ Brilliant defending from Zaba to deny Arsenal entry at the back.
50′ Yellow card Fernandinho
55′ Aguero! Flew pass intended target.
57′ Flamini booked
61′ Yellow Monreal
63′ Ramsey to Wilshere and Jack ties things up at 1-1. Great goal!
64′ Yellow Kun
66′ Ozil gets the ball and for just a little bit, he hesitates and pass to Debuchy, whose shot was always going off target. At another time, Ozil would’ve tried his boots at shooting.
67′ Dzeko on for Kun
73′ SAN.CHEZ! 3 goals in 3 games and he goes into the book for taking his shirt off. Lovely goal 2-1.
76′ Ramsey fluffs a great opportunity to get a 3rd
78′ Debuchy in some serious writhing pain. He just went down. Worried. Oxygen is being applied. There’s the stretcher and blankets … he’s getting a standing ovation on as he’s being stretchered off. I am so worried. I hope his injury is not bad, but it looked like he broke something.
81′ Chambers replaces Debuchy.
83′ BOOM! Demichelis delivers the blow! The corner comes in and he heads it in powerfully. Arsenal did nothing to mark him and just like that it’s 2-2
86′ Ha! Had Welbeck scored that on his debut!
88′ KOLAROV! Hits the post.
6′ added on
94′ Nasri is offside otherwise … He could only smile.
96′ Last play of the game: a Silva FK. It comes to nothing and that’s the end of the game 2-2

My Man of the Match was Fernandinho. He was everywhere Arsenal did not went him to be. He broke play up and his tackles were precise. Either team had a great chance to kill the game, but I enjoyed it.

The moment you realized that Arsenal is going to be the sexiest team in the EPL this season

Yes, that’s the moment!

Sexy time with Arsenal! With Olivier Giroud already Arsenal’s sexiest, Alexis Sanchez got on board the sexy train last evening and if things go according to plan, Mathieu Debuchy would be hopping on board later on today. I can’t wait to see Debuchy in the kit!

Watch women who don’t know anything about football jump on this sexy band wagon this season because of them.

Please note, this is not meant to insult the trio’s mates. It was just useless banter, but banter nonetheless. Sexy is a frame of mind or whatever you want it to be.

Official: Alexis Sanchez signs for Arsenal

New is still hot off the Arsenal press although we knew this was going to happen soon, so all I got is this:

He has passed his medical today (I’m sure it was a sexy one). Tomorrow it’s going to be a done deal. Debuchy also has a done deal.

His first words as an Arsenal player:

‘I’m so happy to be joining Arsenal, a club with a great manager, a fantastic squad of players, huge support around the world. I will give my best to Arsenal and want to make all the supporters happy.’

I’ll miss my Sexy Lexi at FCB, but I’ll be enjoying him at Arsenal. Didn’t deserved to be sold one bit. All the best!
