Falcao joins Chelsea

No surprise there. I was expecting this and now it’s official.

Radamel Falcao joins Chelsea on a season-long loan from AS Monaco. If he performs well, Mou is going to take the credit for himself.

Go on Falcao. Go on and prove the naysayers wrong.

May has been generous to FC Barcelona. They won the Liga and Copa del Rey and this weekend, they’ll kick June off by going after the Champions League title. PSG also had a fantastic May, completing a historic treble.

Falcao’s got a brand new look … and I like it!

When I saw Falcao over the weekend, he was waving adieu to the ungrateful Manchester United fans:

Now, he looks spanking brand new with this hair cut:

I dig it! It’s like he’s opening another door towards life and attitude.

People see what they want to see and the English media is no better when it comes to beating Falcao down. Any blind person could see that the so-call genius call LVG was mismanaging him. Mourinho could get better out of Falcao. Heck, even Pellegrini could do better than LVG. I’ll love for him to stay in the PL and prove all the naysayers wrong. He might be a flop for the English media, but Falcao did not get where he is today by warming benches and running low on confidence from coaches. LVG did not believe in his team this season and that’s why Manchester United suffered badly at the beginning of it.

Call him flop all you want, Man United fans and English media, but in my opinion, it was the wrong time for him to move to MU. However, I hope this comes back and haunt you naysayers next season. He just needs to rediscover his form and look past his injuries and the tiger within will roar once again.

Stay positive, Falcao. I am rooting for you.

Falcao, the first half of the 2014/15 season

Radamel Falcao came to Manchester United on September 01st to start life anew as a PL player. At the moment he’s getting a lot of stick, but I can overlook that because he is a quality player.

Falcao is that player who wanted to go somewhere but ended up elsewhere.

He made his PL debut against QPR which his team won 4-0. His first PL goal came against Everton. The only thing which put a damper on his first half of his 2014/15 season was an injury.

He played two games with Colombia, scoring just 1 goal in the friendly against El Salvador.

Total goals: 5 (2 Monaco; 2 PL; 1 Colombia)

Total assists: 4 (3 PL; 1 Colombia)

Total bookings: 1 (yellow) PL

Total apps: 16 (3 Monaco; 2 Colombia, 11 PL)

End Notes: With only two PL goals under his belt thus far, spoiled fans are accusing him of being a knock-off. Um, yeah, as if some of those guys and gals can do what he does on an everyday basis. I think Falcao is holding his own pretty well so far. I expect more from him next half of the 2014/15 season though. Yes, and please feel free to correct me about wrong stats. I’m using to double check.

When Falcao came dressed up to watch the Monaco game against Lille, everyone assumed he was leaving the club. I know he was going to join a PL club, but he tweeted this …

… to throw people off track. It was soon deleted with the player saying it was just banter. He proceeded to troll the footballing world by following Man City players on Twitter; Man United players on Instagram. I think he was looking for a little attention and he got it.

From Porto to Atletico Madrid to AS Monaco and now … Falcao joins Manchester United on a loan deal with an option to buy. Man U took so long to announce the deal LONG after the transfer deadline was up, I was beginning to wonder if they found something in his medical and was deciding if to take the risk and still go ahead with the signing.

Falcao was never going to stay in the Ligue 1 and he was not going back to Spain immediately. I would have loved to see him at Arsenal though.

All the best in Man U’td. I want to see you shine.

Ligue 1: Week 3: Cavani fluffs ’em while Falcao converts ’em

ligue 1

Photos Foot - Yoann TOUZGHAR - 24.08.2014 - Lyon / Lens - 3e journee Ligue 1

Due to studies, I watched a few matches and sometimes not in their entirety, so it’ll be weird trying to comment on something I did not see for 90 minutes.

Evian hosted PSG and they continue to be one of PSG’s greatest weaknesses. Cavani fluffed quite a few good chances and at the final whistle, a point was shared in a scoreless match.

Monaco won 1-0 away to FC Nantes thanks to a Falcao penalty.

Lyon continue their losing streak, losing 1-0 at home to Lens.

And Bielsa’s Marseille picked up 3 points on the road at Guingamp, winning 1-0.

Stats (via

^ Olympique de Marseille forward André-Pierre Gignac and Mevlut Erding of AS Saint-Etienne are L1 top scorers with three league goals each.

^ With a maximum nine points-from-nine, league leaders Girondins de Bordeaux are the only side yet to drop a point this season.

^ AS Saint-Etienne are unbeaten in their last 12 league games. Their last defeat came on 16 March and a 2-0 loss at Paris Saint-Germain.

Bastia midfielder Ryad Boudebouz has scored all 13 penalties he has taken during his L1 career. His match-winning spot-kick against Toulouse FC was the second of his career with the Corsican club after netting 11 with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.

^ Since their return to Ligue 1 in 2009, Montpellier Hérault SC have never lost at home to a newly-promoted club. Their 2-0 defeat of FC Metz in Week 3 was their eighth win in 15 such encounters.

Edinson Cavani has had the most shots of any L1 player – the Paris Saint-Germain forward has had 13 attempts, six of which were on target and one of which has found the back of the net.

^ Olympique Lyonnais’ 1-0 loss to RC Lens was their third successive defeat in all competitions – such a series as they had not endured in a year, losing four straight in August 2013.

^ FC Lorient’s Benjamin Lecomte has been the busiest L1 goalkeeper this season, making 18 saves and blocks in three games.

^ With nine bookings and one red card this season, AS Monaco FC have the worst disciplinary record in L1.

^ Bordeaux are the most potent side in L1 so far this season, boasting an average of 2.7 goals-per-game.

Falcao left off Colombia’s 23-man roster

Breaking the news: Falcao with manager Jose Pekerman at a press conference

Radamel Falcao might be fit, but he is not 100% and will not play in the WC. Some silly fans blamed his injury on him going to France to play in the Ligue 1. How ridiculous can some people get? Suarez plays in England in and no one whined when he picked up an injury. Ribery plays in Germany and Ronaldo in Spain and they too could not avoid picking up injuries.

Take your time to recover and recover well, Falcao. When you come back 100% for the new season, you’ll be leaving those haters in the shade.

Colombia posted their final 23-man squad via Twitter:
